Never played with Helios, but that overly strong first post has me all tingly. Missed the second half of the last day, but that was an interesting read. I was pretty interested in the division of people trying to make the roles fit into traditional Mafia or scum roles. Versus those saying it's all random. The rules state it's random but the sides of that argument could still hold some reads.

Technically it says that characters are random as far as what faction they are in. The rules also say "obviously some liberties have been taken with all of them to some extent." Just because a character belongs to one faction or the other doesn't mean that the abilities aren't adapted to fit the faction. The game will still be balanced, otherwise it wouldn't work.

I also think it's weird that people buying into the totally random theory were so accepting of any claim, when if the roles are completely random and uninfluenced by alignment it wouldn't matter what the claim was.

But I'll leave it alone for now since I'm leaning town for ahoda for now

Might be mafia was trying to avoid being watched ganging up on the same person. If they don't have a factional kill they might be trying to spread out the attacks then go for a big kill targetting everyone with low health

Actually, mafia would get an extra 5 points for lynching town. You get bonus points for being on the train of someone of the opposing faction and minus for being on the train of the same

And from what I remember, the only person who seemed to be caught up and viewing/participating but wasn't on Herm or Ahoda was Dadd who believes they were both town and refused because of it. It's possible I'm forgetting someone who was viewing though. Im317 and Lamps were two I remember seeing catch up but I don't remember they did in time

Yeah I think I'm up for a Wikey or Brian lynch too. I get the argument against the no resistance theory, but generally it holds true that mafia either get piled on or there is at least some kind of resistance and for the longest time there wasn't for Sab. I tend to think Vern is town.

I'm leaning Brian right now. The role hinting today without any kind of followup earlier was weird. Then on Day 1, he was around during the lead up to the tie, and even commented on the deadline approaching, but he didn't talk about it at all besides saying he didn't like Helios pushing for a tie. He just made some jokes and didn't contribute anything. "It's Day 1" doesn't hold anymore when there are actual arguments and discussion going on. He avoided getting involved in the tie entirely.

Oh, I thought deadline was going to be in the morning for some reason.
