Comes out on Tuesday!

I've been VERY excited for this game for a while now. It's by the people who made Telltale's TWD S1 and the art direction is awesome. The first two chapters were released as an early press/youtuber copy. I just watched a let's play of those two parts and it seems like the dialogue is very strong. It also seemed really different from the trailers, as far as story details go. Might mean there are some major branching points to the story

I haven't played Gone Home yet, so I dunno! (:

Telltale/Life is Strange is the closest I can come up with to a comparison from what I've watched, but the only other major character is Delilah, the woman on the walkie at another lookout tower. You make a lot of dialogue choices with her while you explore and discover things.

I already watched a shorter playthrough video a few months ago that covered the same span of the game, so the start was already spoiled for me. It's also the same stuff that's in the trailers.

Yeah there are some bugs that need to be sorted out. There is a very important scene later in the game that would freeze for half a minute inbetween each line of dialogue for me. VERY annoying. I tried dropping my graphic settings down but that didn't do much

It's a shorter game than I was expecting, and I think some people might find it disappointing. I liked it a lot though! Reminded me of Ethan Carter more than I was expecting. The voice acting is phenomenal though.

The ending was really understanded/kind of anti-climactic, but I liked it. It's a good fit for a game about two people talking. It reminds me of the ending to a novel, rather than the ending to a videogame, but I think that was a good fit. I was worried there would be an overdone twist at the end. I think most twists would have cheapened the game. The pictures at the end were really nice. I wish I'd used more on beautiful vistas and stuff instead of on collecting evidence. Oh well! All in all nice story pretty graphics great voice acting and I hope this studio makes more stuff

I put in 5 hours and took my time with exploring. I missed a few things apparently, but I also got stuck for a while at one point which probably more than made up for whatever I missed.

Spoiler + My biggest complaint is that I feel like they rushed through a lot of the early days stuff and didn't give you a chance to really CONNECT with Delilah. Like that one time where it jump cuts to you staring at The June Fire (or whatever else you name it) and as the conversation goes on she starts talking dirty to you. It was a well-done scene, but it didn't feel earned at all. I never felt any connection between these two characters considering pretty much all their conversations up to that point were either some glib quips about Harry's current mission or talking about Harry's sick wife Like I don't know if it just needed more time or better dialogue. Probably a bit of both really. I haven't felt any of the emotional drive between the two mains that TWD had which is too bad. Though I guess never seeing either character's face is a pretty big handicap

I agree about not having enough of the early days. That's probably my biggest complaint. After watching the rest of the LP I watched, I think certain dialogue paths make things feel more well-paced than others, but I still think there needed to be more inbetween days.

Some Ford Dealership decided to rip off the graphics for an ad. What goofs

Just plow through, or maybe take a break after BIG MOMENTS. The days are pretty unevenly paced. Some breaks might help though.
