I want to dye my hair but I'm too scared because the last time I tried I was a ginger for a month and it was terrible.

My hair isn't really brown. At least not a good brown. It's brown now but I was always blonde as a kid then shitwater blonde as a teen and now it's darkened past the point where it's not light enough to call blonde, but it still doesn't look right. It's a really shitty color. What I want to do now is just make it actually brown and not this weird compromise it landed at.

Red definitely didn't work for me though. Never again.
