Someone attacked me again? I'm assuming mafia wouldnt bother trying and risking failure, so I agree with whoever said it was likely the vig testing to see if I really was being protected by Perry.
Herm does seem a bit suspicious to me. He doesnt seem to have much of a mental filter, and he did a rapid train hop yesterday that seemed to be more about saving himself than trying to get those particular people killed due to actual suspicions. I don't know whether to read that as scummy or as an innocent who just really wants to survive.
I'm happy to see Patrick's actually posting his thoughts and suspicions. And it only took him 3 days! I still think his first 2 days being nothing but reacting to minor things without adding any thoughts at all is really silly.
And the cult stuff is pretty strange. It's really odd to me that mafia could be recruitted. It seems to be unbalanced! The fact that Vic was the leader more or less disproves my Greenday theory. I don't think it would be bad for him to actually say what it is his role is now that the cult is probably wiped out anyway, but the claim seems a lot more solid now.
Anyway, heading back to bed for a few hours. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

Curtis, what exactly was im317's theory? He never said it, you seemed to know what it was, you both discussed it then it was never mentioned again. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

I think Patrick's "advice" was more along the lines of "if herm is town he's digging his own grave" and less actual advice for you to follow. Actually following that advice (especially from Patrick of all people) is a bad idea though. If people suspect you, its for a reason and they won't stop just because you havent said anything recently.
...though g0 is getting a lot less heat today by not saying anything! So (: | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

ugh, my phone just ate the post I was typing because I went to go look something up.
Anyway I was saying, I think in context of that post if I remember, Brian was commenting on Herm calling mafia vampires when Dylan's flip made it seem like cult is the "vampire" faction. That's still such a weird thing to latch onto and use as a reason to not just suspect but lynch someone. Especially since I can't remember much else from Brian in the way of theories. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

I'm having some issues with the site loading so I may be a bit behind, but I think it's kind of odd that Brian's 5 suspects are the 3 people with the most suspicion tossed at them overall so far by everyone, me because one post I made was apparently not up to strict content standards, and Boc, possibly because Brian is getting him mixed up with a dead cult leader. I get that he's getting ready to go on a trip and doesn't have time to look back, but its odd to me that those in particular are the only suspicions that have really formed over the course of 3 days. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

How is it scummy? You don't have any other thoughts or suspects at all? My post was not "nothing." One of your major suspects is so suspicious to you that you don't know if you actually suspect the right person.

How do you isolate posts by a specific person again?
Herm, that reads to me as an empty comment on current events, so I don't think it says much for anyone. |

it's scummy because you're saying (three of) my suspicions aren't valid because they're popular. herm, buffy and g0 (although i don't even know if i agree with you that g0 has "the most suspicion" tossed at her overall) are all suspected by several peopel for good reasons. it's especially frustrating that you're invalidating my suspicion of herm considering i've been suspicious of him since day 1. it's not my fault if people finally started agreeing with me.
in regards to boc, you're twisting what i said. i listed gut feelings, and boc's name came to mind when i was thinking of who i thought was scummy. but i wasn't sure if i was thinking of him or vic (since their names are similar and i don't really know them personally, thus making it hard to differentiate them by memory.
in regards to your post, it was nothing. if you really want to push this, i'll bring it up.

Section 1: I was attacked! Could've been the vig.
Section 2: Herm is scummy but he might not be scum!
Section 3: Patrick is posting, yay! Could still be scum, though.
Section 4: Cult is weird! Greenday probably isn't cult.
Section 5: Now that I've said some things, I'm leaving.
i'm not saying that any of these things is all that suspicious on their own (in fact i said something similar about herm yesterday), but they really don't bring anything to the table. they're just obvious observations or noncommittal sentences.
finally, in regards to my town reads, i have lots. that's how i play. i look for town and then weed out scum from the remains. it's just easier for me that way. that doesn't mean i want to share them with everyone.

My post was not "nothing" nor was it non-committal, because I was reviewing my previous thoughts in light of new evidence. CONTEXT!
For the past few days I've been calling out Patrick on his lack of participation and the fact that he seemed active and attentive enough to react to what happens, but was not posting any new thoughts at all. Not even non-committal reviews or blather. I was acknowledging that he was now posting, so that was interesting and something I would keep watching.
But more significantly, I was extremely anti-Greenday yesterday and one of the ones that didn't really buy his roleclaim at all. The way he phrased it, and danced around certain things, and made assumptions about the cult made me think he was a cult leader using a deprogrammer softclaim as a cover. However, the cult flipped, and the Cult Leader wasn't Greenday. I was acknowledging that my theory was pretty much proven wrong, and that he is probably what he says he is.
I'll grant you the Herm statement as a bit wishy washy, because I'm still not sure how I feel there, nor have I been sure. He doesn't seem scummy to me as much as he is just not filtering his thoughts. I feel like I'm being overly-metagamey believing he's not scum, though, because Gabriel was always the same way. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

Looking up Tim's character, I think I buy it. I can't figure out how it would work mechanically, but it seems like a possibility show-wise. I'm not sure how much we're actually allowed to discuss it, but the Buffy wiki entry for Slayer is what I'm reading. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

Haven't had time to read the thread at all today. It's my last day at work and I am about to leave for the Clippers game. Hopefully I am not receiving votes.
Anyway, I reallllllly reallllllly say we vote for Herm today. That name has been coming up everywhere and I do believe they are scum. It will also make it much easier to create cases afterwards on others based on the result.
I also listed my other suspects earlier. See ya. |
