I don't think so. Kills usually stop that person from using their role (not always though) but roles used on them still go through. That's why protects and stuff work.

But if he was attacked then whoever he protected would also be killed. So I just assumed that he took the hit for whoever he protected to make it different from the Jordan healer duo role. But it doesn't say he dies for whoever was attacked, so I don't know.

Tim I don't know who you are or where you came from, but you got moxy kid! Rose, so ultimately why do you think you survived the attack?

It had to be that Dylan protected me, I just can't work out how that makes sense. It doesn't make sense for my survival to get lumped in with his death unless I was the one he was protecting.

Jordan's death means there probably isn't another healer/doctor type out there besides the recently departed Dylan.

It doesn't make any sense at all unless he took the kill for me like I assumed, but there's nothing to indicate that. It's really bizarre.

Maybe if I was also attacked his protect would kick in?

Okay so Dylan was recruited but, before he was recruited, he chose Rose to protect and because she was attacked, he died. So, her surviving has nothing to do with his protection. It was either some type of other protection or BP.

No, because he was attacked, I was attacked. If I'd just been attacked and he wasn't, I would have been protected.

I'm talking about a standard jailer, not an interceptor. Jailers roleblock and protect their target. Interceptors block all actions on that person, but leave that person free to use their role.

An interceptor wouldn't show in the flavor. I never would have been attacked, and Dylan never could have protected me. A jailing would roleblock me, and protect me like a doctor would, and would show a survival in the flavor. But it doesn't make sense because my role worked last night.

This is silly. I'm not so hyper-competent that I would magically know exactly why I survived. I'm confused because I know enough to know my survival doesn't make sense unless there's something else going on.

Every time someone survives anything people scream don, then someone screams serial killer, then someone else screams cult. It's not much of an original thought.

I understand that, and I really do understand the suspicion! It's frustrating because I realize just how strange my survival is, and I can't explain it! And most of the possible reasons I could have survived from your perspectives are bad.

The way I see it, the options from your perspectives are:

A. I was the don, or a SK, or the cult leader
B. I was town BP, lying about being town BP
C. I was mafia and protected by mafia
D. I was just minding my own business knocking on people's doors and survived due to unknown forces

And all but the last one are bad or stupid. But it's the last option that's true! How am I supposed to defend myself when I don't know what happened?

I wouldn't say option B is really an option because I think you'd end up claiming Town BP if you were.

That's the stupid option, not one of the bad options. If I was Town BP I would lying and putting myself at a high risk of being lynched for, at best, getting one more use out of the protection but most likely absolutely nothing.
