Even with the spoilers, I think I enjoyed it. I knew who was going to die and the major plot points but not how all of them connected and I think that made me enjoy it more? Cause the whole time I was focused more on watching the filler moments and enjoying them than wondering what was going to happen next. BUT. I dunno. Maybe that's just me.
I will say that I don't think a lot of the battle scenes or character moments are going to stick with me much. I think the best parts were with GoTG and Spiderman because they're honestly my favorite.
I like how they touched on the romance of Scarlet Witch & Vision but it just kind of made his eventual death that much more predictable. I think they could have benefitted from adding more during Civil War. Which is even weirded because.. weren't they on different sides? (:
I also feel like the events of Civil War were kinda brushed over a little bit, but maybe that's just me? And I guess Cap & Tony were never in the same place anyways.
UM BUT YEAH. Really the only thing that is going to stick with me is fucking SPIDERMAN. I know those deaths are probably temporary but that dramatic death was enough to make me cry a little. Also because it brought me back to Quicksilver and I'm tired of seeing my favorites die at the end of their first Avengers movie.
NIX IT MARVEL!!!!
Intrigued to see who they bring in for Part II because not a bash on any of the remaining characters but none of them are all that entertaining for me. They kept a lot of the predictable, straight-edge characters that don't bring a lot of humor. Thor might after his Ragnarok revamp and MAAAAAYBE Bruce but I think his humor is always much more subtle and won't be able to carry the entertainment factor.
But maybe they're going to go back to their old ways of taking themselves too seriously and making a purely dramatic movie (I HOPE NOT!). If they know what's good for them, they'll bring back the GoTG in a movie between the Avengers and now. (Captain Marvel, maybe?)
That's all I got. Not my favorite but it was an experience and that's kind of what I expected.
