I think everyone can speculate what side certain roles should be on, but having Christian come in would be most helpful

I had received a note in my mailbox on Night 1. I mentioned I was reading my mail when I was asked how my night was going. That was me acknowledging to whoever sent it that I had received it.

I feel like it was just a note that someone had written themselves, ie. decided what it would say. Because it was in quotation marks. I would have mentioned yesterday if the person it was about was in danger, but I'm not even sure it's true.

Did anyone else not understand a word of this?

I didn't get that at all. There was something about somehow acknowledging he read it but i don't understand how he did that.

He posted that he checked his mail as a way of telling whoever sent him the note that he got it

HI I'm back.

ALRIGHT SO--I tracked Herm last night, but my investigative reports were burned to a crisp and I didn't get any info on Herm's activity.

I don't want to jump right on Herm and assume scum for the following reasons: 1.) Could be a passive protective town role? 2.) I'm assuming based on my PM that this has something to do with Herm's role, but not 100% clear if this is the case.

That said, it seems a little scummy so I'd definitely like to hear from Herm about this.

Could just be a roleblock

I respectfully disagree, but ok. Herm isn't really talking and you got his back so that's that i think.
