Would the creature have let me slip by? Who knows. Was it a smart move to go ahead and attack? Smart moves are not in my arsenal. I crave action, and since my competetors (holy shit sp) are in hiding, i will take what i can get.

I wonder if it's too late to ask this creature if it would rather go get a drink? It's not my real prey anyway. If i ever locate Khan....that seems so far off though.

The basilisk glared at me. Bruised, battered...and a hit of sadness...in it's eyes. A ping of guilt hits me. The creature did me no wrong. But i choose to attack. but...i cannot regret that. I will have to to be ruthless to survive this.

I think of different strategies when it comes to me....the creature has nothing left. My opening attack was stronger than i realized, and when it's counter missed me, the fight left it.

I slowly walk up...and seeing no real fight left, bring my warhammer down upon it's head.
