80s I think. The cheesy goodness along with the real move-in of anime like Voltron, Robotech, Gachaman aka G Force, Space Battleship Yamato aka Star Blazers, Captain Harlock, all that crap.

There is anime listed on the 80s listing (Voltron) so the official poll definitioner rules that anime is fair game.

Based on the above description, then neither is Robotech, Star Blazers, G Force/Battle of the Planets, or the myriad other 80s animes.
