Isn't it suggested by recent reports that something like 2/3 Americans are depressed? |

'Quit being a pussy and deal with it' isn't quite what I was saying haha.
More that if you think you have a problem, there may be other options, and ones that don't involve medication.
Btw, just because an opinion is in the minority or controversial doesn't mean it is wrong. Not sure this is either tho
They had some questionable ideas about mental health 50 years ago, just sayin. Not comparing something like a lobotomy to taking pills, just that the consensus on what the best solution is is always changing.
Question for you guys, since this thread isn't just about mental health:

Everything in moderation. I believe they say that the tipping point between benefit and hazardous to health is two-three "drinks". | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I just thought of something while I was reading someone else's post. Sometimes at work, if I have to make a phone call (even work-related ones), I'll try to wait until my desk neighbours are either on the phone themselves or gone from their desks, or there's a lot of noise happening before I pick up the phone, just so there's less of a chance that people will be listening to how I talk on the phone. It's seems silly. And if nobody else is in the room, I'd be able to handle the conversation 150 times better. |
I have a cordless headset, so I just get up and wander around when I'm on the phone, then try to find somewhere that I won't bother people. But that's because I can be loud, not because of social anxiety.
