It's JIF. There is no debate here. The creator of the GIF intended it to be pronounced with a soft g sound (although I always say it with a hard g sound). I just learned this recently.

That's because he can't pronounce "graphics" correctly.

Plus I always believed he said that specifically to troll people into getting angry over it. It's something I would do in his shoes.

Incorrect. You can't change the pronunciation of something just because the public votes on it.

You can't change the definition of sandwich just because nobody says "hot dog sandwich".

Sow is also one of those weird pronunciation words- homographs.

And I'm still pretty sure the inventor was intentionally trolling people during the debate.

And I still like pronouncing LINUX line-x and not lynn-x.
