This poll is so stupid, anyone who says they would pick A is full of shit |
Sorry, but as an extrovert you are talking crazy.
Also- trying to get around the "not speak" by saying you'll write it down or type it or such is cheating. I read this as "Not able to communicate... period".

Definitely B. I'd be slapped 6 or 7 times a day just from the woman in my office, especially since I'm pretty sure they only higher very hot ones. |
You get slapped anyway, so....

A people spend 2 hours literally saying everything that comes to your mind to practice
Not just everything you think of to say, everything you think of. |
I've worked with people like this at work. Got to hear lovely things from her. I'd type some of them, but don't want to gross anyone out.
She also used to take client conference calls from the bath* when she was "working from home". You could here the water splashing around.

what a weird pile of assumptions |
Not really- if you can still communicate, then people have an "out". Kinda like the people who use their "wish" to wish for more wishes. It tells you nothing about the person's choice other than they look to game the system.

That's really not the question, the question is: Do you want to always or never speak for the rest of your life? |
That's because the person who wrote the original question that Curtis borrowed from didn't understand the concept of a good cognitive review on questions of this sort. For example, "speak" has a number of definitions which can lead to folks answering the question under wrong assumptions. For example, two definitions of "speak" are:
5. to make a statement in written or printed words.
6. to communicate, signify, or disclose by any means; convey significance.
Now, if you use only the "verbal" definition of speak, then you think you can get around this to cheat the question, whereas using all the definitions of "speak" means you either say everything on your mind or you never communicate with anyone. *NOW* the question becomes much harder.

Huh, I've never seen it used for 6, this thing needs to cite its sources.
Weird to think of sign language as a form of speaking,
If that's the case then you should choose A and make yourself mute to function in society. |
Not really odd at all- talk is also "verbal" first, but also means all forms of communication, like "I'll talk to you later on the mafia board!"

sounds like you really wish this survey was an entirely different survey. if that's the game we're playing, i'd like a pony and a billion dollars and another wish. |
Nope- doing the same survey. Other folks want to still be able to communicate with people while being a B. I call that bullshit. It's either all communication or none- that's the intention of the original question- to make it a challenging decision. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

The loophole in Vlady's case is choosing A and "saying" everything that you don't want to say out loud in a form of communication you make up.
Like toe wiggling. |
Communication requires the transfer of information, so unless someone understands your toe wiggling language, you can't use that as a cop out.

It doesn't say communicate, you can express yourself without having an audience.

And if we're going to "say" everything on our mind through interpretive dance, I don't think that's much of a cop out.

this says so much about your personality. first you elevate your wild guess about "intention" to the level of fact, as if agreeing with yourself means your guesses are always true. then, you pivot on that fake fact to claim that the survey used a word it didn't actually use.
you're welcome to your assumptions, and i'm not saying that assumptions aren't required. i just find it laughable (troubling?) that you think your assumptions aren't assumptions. very, very weird.

The point of these sort of things is to provide two *extremes* to generate a difficult decision. That is the point of these sort of questions. Not having one end be extreme removes the point of the poll.
It's almost like you expect the question "Would you like to die by ice or fire?" to be more like "Would you like to have a vodka and ice, or die by fire?"
As I've noted, the original question writer didn't do a good job, but that doesn't mean their intention is hard to discern. The extremes are "All communication or none"- it's a pretty easy concept. Trying to sidestep it with "some communication" ruins the entire point of the question- thus leading to cop out answers.
Or we can require that Ahoda express his feelings for his coworkers through interpretive modern dance. That's cool too.
