I had a great time- despite DS pulling vendetta stuff on my chaos partner. My targets kept getting killed before I could lynch them until finally I got Kiwi lynched, then got brian for the second target. Only to have Stephen (I assume) kill me that night. :(
So close, yet so far.
How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat?

It had absolutely nothing to do with a vendetta, it was completely random lol
1) Nobody actually believes that.
2) Even if it *was* random, you should have realized that it would look bad and decided on doing a second "randomization".
I work for a Big 4 firm. We have independence rules that seem overly stupid at times, but the point is to avoid anyone coming in and accusing the audit team of going easy because there is a business relationship between someone at the firm and the company being audited. Half a moment of self-realization would have shown you that this would look bad.

1) I dont actually care what anyone wishes to believe about a situation that involves my personal judgment and something I know to be the truth. It WAS random, regardless of what you wish to believe. I can't change your perception of MY reality, you do you boo.
2) I honestly didnt even remember that Spin had pulled some crazy shit on me until you guys started mentioning it. I dont hold grudges like that.
3) Like I said, it was a random split second decision in an attempt to get scum to target me and be outed. Didnt work, but I'd posit that killing a scum player and getting the mafia to use their ninja kill was worth it. I am sorry that Mittens got caught up in the crossfire though. My bad dude!
Except you don't even have a clear perception of the situation at all still. You didn't kill scum, you killed third party. In addition, the mafia didn't "use their ninja kill" as if it was a one shot or anything- zach was a ninja. Mafia would use that every time until he is killed, because why send out somebody who could be spotted when you could send out somebody who would never be spotted?
And once again: you can pretend you don't care about what anyone thinks, but you probably should, because mafia is a social game. It isn't about doing your own thing, it is working as a team to win as a team (except for the roles totally devoid of team, like SK or survivor). At this point people will wonder if you have the team's interest in mind. THAT should make you think more than anything.

If you look at Herm's investigations, they show up as:
Quote
Action: Each night you will select a player and will be told if they are "Town" or "Not Town"."
Scum = anti-town
I've bitched about this for a few games now, but third party who is *not* SK or cult does not equal anti-town. The key difference is that if you can win when town wins, then you aren't anti-town. Third party survivor is a perfect example- town gains absolutely nothing by lynching one and, if town has the advantage in game, then it is to their detriment to focus their attention on such a role when they could be targeting scum.
Cult = scum? Yep. They can't win if town wins. SK = scum? Yep- they can't win if town is still alive. But targeting the creepy girl, warlock, or the myriad alternate win conditions roles doesn't help town and sometimes hurts town.

Well if that is how we should look at TP (not saying we should or shouldn't) then Spin could have fully claimed (possibly even hiding the TP part first) and if that didn't work then vlady could have backed him up. For a large part my vote for Spin was based on the way he defended himself, SOMETHING seemed off...
I'm saying it is more a reaction to the "If TP, automatically lynch" mentality. For example, when I was Putin, if I hadn't been intentionally redirected to Ape to get converted to mafia, then I would have still been TP survivor when I claimed. I literally wasn't planning on checking Ape and getting rid of me at the time would have done nothing for town.
Granted, I also had no idea that I was a traitor- kind of like IM had no idea he could end up scum or TP Chaos Team this game.

oh i was sure i could end up changing factions, otherwise why was i looking for someone, my only worry was that if i could end up being tied to another player and dying when they did.
I've seen setups where you find the person, become "lovers" and you win, then try to survive until Endgame for total victory.

If I hadn't been killed, I was actually debating my best strategy. I was pretty sure brian was a BG and that I could get him lynched, but it would be harder with the unknowns like Stephen still in play to get a slam dunk. I was considering actually coming out and saying "Look, I'm TP lyncher, I'm pretty sure brian is BG, help me win and then I'll help town finish this off!" but I figured that some might react to the third party element and lynch me instead. Alternatively I was prepared to make a backup cop claim, clear Stephen, then push for a brian lynch. A lot more lying at that point that wouldn't have helped town (but then Stephen would have shown town if investigated, but I didn't know that at the time).
Weirdly, I have been hitting a lot of TP, which is why I'm more reflective on this. I've also been more reluctant to go after town BP roles (though I did push on Kiwi for this, mainly because he was the lynch target at the time and the BP claim fits with GF).
