The books are fantastic, but then I love Gaiman. In terms of movie adaptations of his stuff, he also wrote Coraline and Stardust.

He has a thing for reimagining old myths and gods, which he did here and in the Sandman comics as well as in shorter works like Odd and the Frost Giants. He also just released a retelling of Norse mythology for those interested.
How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat?

We're now taking the kids to a Night with Neil Gaiman at Wofltrap. If you've never heard him read, he's awesome.
