Didn't make it this year.
I tend to not keep up with current storylines, since so many of the issues are designed for large crossover stories to make you buy eighteen different titles you'd never buy otherwise. Got sick of that after awhile. So instead I just go looking to fill out old holes in my collections or grab the occasional new issue I have to have.
My wife and I grabbed this card rack that was getting thrown out years ago and it has moved with us as my "comics rack" ever since. I keep most my old collection in a few boxes and just have certain titles I want to highlight on display. I tend to swap around what's on display at any one time based on mood. Here's a recent pict with the entire Sandman series up top (including both Death minis), original Stardust issues before it was combined in novel form, the Frank Miller originals (Batman Year:One, Dark Knight Returns, DK II & II, Elektra: Assassin, Ronin, Sin City, Give Me Liberty and the rest of the Martha Washington stuff), some Alan Moore fun (V for Vendetta, League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Watchmen), Akira (some holes in there- need a few issues still), a bunch of anime related stuff- Robotech/Macross, Gundam, Captain Harlock, Area 88, Ghost in the Shell), all the Legends of the Dark Knight issues from 1 to 125 or so and a bunch of Batman annuals, and my John Constantine: Hellblazer collection (with lots of holes needed filled).

Not a huge Superman fan- always been more of a Batman person (not that my rack displays that or anything).
It's tough to follow current continuity, because of all the cross-over and push to get $$. I end up looking for more one-offs, minis and elseworlds-types now. I loved LotDK for that very reason- it was a series of minis not connected to continuity, until they brought in the whole Knights End bullshit to the title and then I started losing interest in keeping up.
I just noticed i have my Serenity issues peeking out there on the bottom.

one thing I tend to buy if its something I don't have (or don't remember having):
Judge Dredd (especially any of the old UK copies)
The humo(u)r and the dystopian setting is fantastic.

what's the poster behind the rack? |
It's an old poster for Fritz Lang's Metropolis. I've got that and a few other old movie posters for if I ever create a movie room, other than my geek room. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |
