Call me an SJW snowflake but I don't really think it's a chill idea in 2017 to have two white dudes basically writing slavery fan fiction.

I'm honestly struggling to see who their target audience is. Hopefully they can prove me wrong and actually make it effective and scare the shit out of racists, but our country is still far from moving on from the effects of slavery so IMO it is not something that should be portrayed as a dystopia. This is just going to need to be produced very carefully.

It sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. But it's not supposed to air until like 2018 or 2019 so we'll see.

No I was trying to point out how stupid it is to think that it's not "chill" for a white person to write about slavery because they might have ancestors who died a 100 years ago who were slavers. Secondly, black people in America are still very much still experiencing the after effects of slavery and are not treated entirely like first class citizens. I don't see why white men or ancestors of slavers should be writing this dystopia. Tbh I wouldn't expect you to fully understand this not growing up here or learning about Reconstruction and all of that as a kid in school, but it's just not chill in a society that has not moved on from slavery yet. We don't need to give another voice to the white man like this.

I'm not saying you're stupid, I'm saying you wrote something stupid, there's a huge difference. Wise people rarely say stupid stuff, smart people do all the time. America needs to move on and this line of thinking is the opposite, despite what your teachers told you to think.

"My teachers" come from a million different backgrounds and perspectives and didn't "tell me how to think." They taught me how to think for myself. I resent everything implied in this post, especially the fact that you clearly don't think I have the ability to think for myself, but I really don't see the point in trying to explain my thoughts at this point. I'm just going to leave it at this.
