I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who signed up to play my game, and also a big thank you to Vic for volunteering to help me with hosting along the way. I haven't been playing mafia very long and I was honestly really, really nervous about hosting. I was afraid I would make a ton of mistakes and ruin the experience for everyone. I know I made a few here and there, so thank you to everyone for being relatively understanding. I was lucky to have Vic around to help me balance out roles and answer questions I had for him, even while he was on vacation. By the end I got a lot more comfortable and started feeling more confident about hosting, and I owe a lot of that to all of you who gave this game your all. I hope you all enjoyed playing as much as I liked hosting, even if it it dragged a little bit towards the end.
I also want to recognize both the SKs and mafia for being good sports. You guys had some pretty rotten luck in this game and made the most of it, so I commend all of you.
I'll post HOF/HOL tomorrow, but for now I'll just post the remaining roles below:
---
Zersch's Role
+
You are Al Franken (D - MN)
Role: Inventor
Alignment: Town
You are democratic party badass Alan Stuart “Al” Franken, junior U.S. Senator from Minnesota and former writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live. You gained notoriety for your sharp political satire, creativity, and civility. Despite having been in the spotlight as a comedian on SNL, you don’t seek the spotlight in Washington. You believe in a strong, federal government that provides services to all citizens, and like your progressive colleague in the Senate, Bernie Sanders, you’re a strong believer in a single-payer healthcare system.
You’ve decided to put your creativity to good use as town inventor! Hopefully your gifts and gadgets can help drain the swamp.
Each night, you may choose to give an item out to another player. Each item is a one-time use and once you give it to someone you cannot give another to someone else.
You may gift one each of the following items: FBI Surveillance Van - This will allow a player to watch another player one night Cane - Reminiscent of the 1856 caning of Senator Charles Sumner, this will give a player the ability to perform a day kill by beating another player to death Secret Service Agent - Who will protect a player the night they choose to use them Tweet - this will distract a player so much that they cannot perform an action that night
You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.
Josh's Role
+
You are Sherrod Brown (D - OH)
Role: Town Nurse
Alignment: Town
You are Sherrod Campbell Brown, senior U.S. Senator from Ohio. You’re viewed much in the same light as fellow Senator Bernie Sanders: as a public servant who is in touch with working class Americans and one who is not afraid to fight for them in DC. Your blue collar appeal helped you beat your Republican opponent in Ohio by a 6% margin in the 2012 election, and you’ve been preaching about economic mobility since before it became the theme of the 2016 General Election. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders get all the attention, but you share many of their core values and many believe you would be an equally solid choice to be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.
Should the town doctor die, you will assume their role. If/when that happens, you may not protect the same person back-to-back nights.
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Brian's Role
+
You are Joe Biden
Role: Meme-ologist
Alignment: Town
You are Joseph Robinette "Joe" Biden Jr., beloved 47th Vice President of the United States and former U.S. Senator from Delaware. You served as VP for two terms and now you’re just ready to chill. You’re all about the memes now. You’ll take down Trump and his clowns with some real humor.
Each night you may pick a player to send a meme to. Which meme is up to you.
Hidden from player: Your memes don’t do anything, but just like Joe Biden, they’re lighthearted, make people laugh, and can maybe diffuse a tense foreign policy situation! After all, memes are a valid policy-solution to countering extremism online!
You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.

(These should all be unlocked now, let me know if not. Graveyard Admin CP is acting up for some reason so it might not be open.)
Good game Maddie (and Vic, I guess). Tip for next time, cut down on the hidden text, especially the ones that mod-confirm, mod-clear, or mod-condemn (sorry buffy) people. It's hard enough to win as Mafia or SK, but when you clear townies and out SK with hidden text, it makes it even harder.
While I def think my biggest mistake of the game was low-key confirming Angi because I actually forgot the hidden text I meant to include, I personally believe that role flips are a way to get info so I don't really have regrets about the hidden text. It's not like hidden text straight up says who has what role. That would obviously be ridiculous.
Plus, most of the SK info was in the actual role, aside from confirming that a shrink existed, but Angi would have come forth with that information most likely even after I had remembered to put the hidden text in.
So I'm going to have to respectfully disagree here. I recognize this is definitely a matter opinion and would prefer not to get into a debate over it, but this is where I stand.
I almost had it had I not screwed up the opening of today. I should have come out guns blazing at Zersch, and said I sent him to Zach.
I was sure that's what you were going to do, and I feel like Brian would have sided with you if you had.
That was my plan, had Zach picked to kill last night (he'd have killed Josh, btw), as it would have been 2v1, and brian was clear, and I could claim you did the killing. I just frantically missed that the plan still would have worked with 4, as I'd have gotten you lynched, then killed one tonight and won. That's what I get for playing on my phone while walking to my car after work.
I saved myself that night so I would have seen I got hit and realized you redirected HIM
I didn't think nurse's could self-protect.
MADDIE...you got some 'splainin to do...
Doctors and thus nurses usually can here?
Yeah it was permitted all game. I can't remember if Herm ever actually did it. Josh only did once.
I considered having a Russian Cult or Far-Right cult led by Richard Spencer in this game but it just seemed like a little much so I opted not to have a cult.
I'll probably post it late tonight PST. Got a little busy today and have to work tonight. Sorry for the delay but HOF/HOL will be posted eventually. :)
