It's finally stopped raining out here so I got out to Point Reyes this weekend for a hike. Went to Tamales Point, which is an Elk Reserve, so I saw a bunch of elk--pretty cool! The wildflowers were also fully in bloom. Also saw a coyote, which was the first time I'd seen once since I saw that other get decapitated on I-5, but unfortunately couldn't get a pic.

Honestly when I saw KC's comment I thought I was still on the Boolshit thread and he was responding to that crazy ginger lady video Curtis posted, but then I realized... Holy shit! The photos thread burned while I was away.

But DS it is very unusual that you saw a coyote in the middle of that neighbourhood...there isn't a lot of wildlife over there...

Apparently golden gate parks coyote problem is getting to the point where they are moving out from the park due to numbers. I remember a few years ago a mountain lion strolled through sf around there and everyone freaked tf out

I think I remember that! Incidents like that are especially common during the summer when there are more wildfires in the hills. It scares the mountain lions down into the urban areas. My neighbors had one in their front yard once. It was pretty gnarly.

That last fight was coyote ugly!!!!!

Took my French friend who is currently visiting on a day trip to Yosemite today since he'd never been.

We had one of the wettest winters in a while in California and the amount of water in the falls definitely showed it. Combined evidence of a really wet winter and a lot of snow melt. Pretty amazing. In all the times I've been to Yosemite I don't think I've ever seen this much water in Yosemite Falls or Bridalveil, and I've been to the park at all different times of the year.

The two waterfall photos look like they're slightly poorer quality photos but that's just because there was thick mist all over the camera lense haha. Pretty crazy!

I hiked to the top of this one a while back one spring break and the whole top half of the hike was in the snow. Pretty steep, wild hike with a lot of switchbacks.

I went to the mountains again! At one point I was hiking in snow in 77 degree weather so that was kind of nuts!
