No, pop music seems worse because it's mostly a rehash.

If you go outside it there's a lot of good stuff going on.

Release Radar is also a good one. It takes the new music from New Music Friday but gives you the ones that they think you'd be most interested in based on your taste.

It's only artists' you've listened to, so it's the absolute worst one to discover new artists.

It seems like the people that like contemporary music, listed a lot to spotify. Those of us who aren't as big of fans, don't.

I listen to spotify very rarely, as I only have it installed on my work laptop for use during late-night grading sessions. Most of you probably listen to it via mobile devices a lot more frequently. I'd hate to pay for your data plans!

How much is yours?

Good call. As it happens, I listened to a few of their tracks several years ago. I found them interesting but never delved any further.

Any specific albums you would recommend?

In Absentia, Deadwing, Stupid Dream, Fear of a blank planet, all their other albums, all of Steven Wilson's other projects.

That being said, there are a lot of genres out there that I don't even understand why they exist.

Deathcore and whatever Skrillex is lol.

Metalcore is just Americans trying to make hardcore sound like Gothenburg metal, deathcore is the next step.
