Apparently the big debate is between 7 and 8 but I guess I’m an alien, I do FIVE

7 and 8 feel alright but 5 definitely feels the most natural to me. Left to right, top to bottom. It’s kinda weird going right to left with 7/8

5 actually makes the most sense, you start where the last letter ended and end where the next one starts, so you can do it easily in cursive

Doing upward strokes for a line is just weird to me
