Finished Chapter 1 and so far it's great, but oh men it took me a while to get used to using a stick to aim again, I was missing every other shot.

Only thing I don't like is the ride back to camp with the crew after almost every mission, holding X for 5 minutes while they talk about whatever every time to end it got old really fast.

Looks wise I'm going for a fat neckbeard, need to find a fedora.

So I passed a carriage which had a woman locked up, I decided to save her to see if something interesting happens, shot the guys, shot the lock on the cage and then tried to talk to the woman.

Unfortunately I still had my gun equipped after saving her, pointed it at her and she ran away screaming, reported me and I got a $20 bounty on me.

I'm in Chapter 4 but I still don't fully understand the stat core system tbh but I just try to treat them as soon as they turn red and it's been working out for me!

You want the heart/lightning/eye to be filled up so the bars regenerate faster, it turns red when they're empty.

I'm currently doing the same thing, trying to find a 3 star cougar, I've seen 2 cougars in like an hour, and one was 1 star, the other killed me before I could check......



I also found out that if you advance too far without doing some side quests you can't do them at all, can't get 100% etc.

And you can't do one of them if you don't have at least level 4 honor, or 75%? on the honor scale...

^ good to know, als dude lel I just killed a cougar last night with my bow. it was killing some random fella I think so it was distracted and I had time to aim, for the head, with my bow. I always kill animals like that, otherwise I wouldn't get 3 stars pelts when I skin them, right?! don't tell me I can just shoot them without any hustle and still get a perfect pelt.

It depends on the animal, if you study it and press R1 you can see what's best to kill it with for 3 star, cougars are rifles.
Also you need to headshot them or the grade gets lower.... I finally found one 3 star and missed the head. Fucking RIP my time.

I haven't tried it but can't you harvest, then store it on your horse, then harvest more?


You can make trinkets with legendary parts at the fences, one of them is great, makes 2 star animals give 3 star pelts, I think it's the elk.not 100% sure.

Oh it's the Legendary Buck, I was in its area(NW of Strawberry) when looking for Cougars, but didn't see him.

I went on a fishing side mission and there was this big fish among the other fish that I really wanted to get, but the other fish kept biting, so I just shot it with my pistol.

Finished chapter 3 last night, RIP my sleep schedule, overslept this morning but it was worth.

Holy shit those last 3 missions were awesome, the missions so far have been good, but those three turned it up to eleven. So many cool moments, like walking up to the house and then when burning it, shooting the last 4 Grays, Sean dying suddenly(RIP Sean :( ), when you were trying to escape from the O'Driscoll's and they got you again. Got so immersed into the game it was crazy, haven't felt that in a while. I finally get the Micah hate, I started to antagonize him in the camp lol
