I don't even know most of these roles. The one I discarded I had never heard of before. Something to think about though: would the people that discarded a scum role (whether it be mafia or third party) only have the option to pick some other third party or mafia role? The reason I ask this is because it not, it could really mess up the balance if not. Like, if all of the people that discarded a mafia role picked a town role, would that mean we have very little scum to deal with? I'm not sure KC would do this because it might be predictable, but I don't see how the balance could be there if this were the case.

It wouldn't affect the balance at all, because all the roles are listed anyway. It's not like learning what the roles do will make any difference to the game, they all seem to be typical mafia roles that you can look up in a wiki.

There are a multitude of reasons why people would choose to discard a role. A powerful role is not always "fun" if it means more responsibility/pressure. I think to read anything concrete into that at this point on would be silly.

Tbh I don't think seeing which roles were discarded will be much help at all since there are so many potentials which never even got picked for the PMs. We can eliminate a few roles from the game but there's bound to be a ton of crazy shit going on all the same.

Enabler is only good for something if the enabled role exists in the game, which based on the list I just posted, it may not.

And there are still great things to discuss on Day 1 friends! The key is solid activity even if people don't have a lot to say.

I think to read anything concrete into that at this point on would be silly. Speaking of responsibility, I kind of find Trick's decision douchy to discard Enabler... Why? Having that role means if Tricks is killed, whatever role he was enabling is disabled. I think enabler is a town hampering role. And not existing means the person or people with the enabled roles become automatic vanilla(s). I would choose Enabler over anything if I wanted to be town.

I would choose anything but Vanilla over Enabler.

I don't think people are piling on, and I think it's a better lead than anybody else has put forth so far.

I doubt there's an anti-town led train on Day one, or that any anti-town parties are casting votes. It's not like there were any other consensus leads before this that people would feel a need to divert from.

Might be a handful of playful vote tossing on random people for silly reasons from scum, but nothing more I wouldn't think.

Kiwi is just being paranoid pants and I don't believe Moose particularly. The whole "just kill me already guys" thing rubs me up the wrong way in these games. That being said, she's been pretty calm about the train, but plenty of others weren't once it got going.

Why should there be a preference as to who we lynch/don't lynch on day one? If there was some powerful role in the balance it'd be different but there seems an awful lot of defensiveness from other parties for the sake of defending a vanilla player.

I would also like to know what doesn't "sit right" about my posts. Please follow up suspicion with information on the nature of the suspicion.

How about we stop meta-gaming and focus on this game!
