I'm guessing that Rob must've been the mafia attack for the night. The only other possibility is that the attacker was roleblocked.

Flavour-wise it doesn't come across like I was directly attacked. These results are very, very strange.
It's possible, it just doesn't read like that. Maybe I'm reading too much into the flavour.

Interesting to look back at Rob's posts though. This one in particular:
|
I'm torn between lynching an inactive (especially when we've got so many, which could result in a mafia cakewalk) and lynching someone like Matt, Curtis, or Greenday. All three have exhibited somewhat scummy traits today. |
It's hardly conclusive but I'm actually a lot less inclined to go for Matt now. I think Matt is probably town unless Rob was purposely distancing himself from the others (also possible).
He was also very, very against the lynch on JJ. Almost unnaturally so. Unless something better comes up I'm gonna go ahead and:
##Lynch: JJ | |

It seems like you went to visit someone and they in turn attacked you. Like a PGO. Not sure how much we can read into Urk flavor though (: |
This was my assumption.

I'm referring to this post for the record:
|
I'm more than a little suspicious of this JJ train. Seems to me we have a few good lynch candidates and it could be put to better use. |
This post was made whilst she was still yet to show up for the day and I didn't see anything suspicious about it whatsoever.

That was the very first mafia game hosted for this community. Wasn't it also the one where knives went apeshit?

I'm coming back to this because of how ridiculous it is. He tried to subtly deflect a lynch train from an inactive player (a perfectly reasonable Day 1 target considering how little there was to go by) onto somebody else.
Matt, I could get behind. Matt had that incident which was highlighted by Boc and did come across as suspicious but also came across just enough like an honest mistake to be passable. I can't remember Greenday doing anything remotely scummy but I'll go back and check. I feel like he just threw Curtis in there as a means to easily round up a counter-lynch based on metagaming nonsense though tbh. Curtis hasn't behaved remotely scummy all game.
Obviously not a lot can be read into the three he picked. If he went about it in a really clever way, he would've thrown a mafia member into the mix with those names so that at a time like this, we would immediately clear suspicion from all of the people he listed including the one mafia member (maybe one with an important role). It's an awful lot to assume so I'm not suggesting we base any kind of action on this, but it is something worth thinking about.
The fact is though that there was no good reason to do what he stated and his push for JJ seemed questionable.
Also how quickly did that JJ train flip at the end of the day. Anybody else notice that? A ton of people just dropped sides in a very, very small space of time.
Now I know that the basis of the train was rendered pointless because the whole concept was that JJ was inactive and thus there was no longer valid reason to lynch her. But there would've been no valid reason to lynch anybody, it was day one. I've never seen a train flip onto a random target so quickly.
To me it just seems like she was scum but most of the mafia were on her train to hide themselves and get their names cleared, then she showed up and they all about flipped to make certain the target was somebody different. I can't get away from this line of thinking.

I mean don't get me wrong, had I come on before day's end I would've done the same thing too most likely. But I wouldn't have just jumped on the target everybody else was picking over the target I picked based on pretty much nothing.
I know Vernon is Vernon and that was a hilarious result, but still. It doesn't sit right.

I thought Patrick was really off on day 1. Seemed weird.
I dont want to lynch based on surviving attacks but Paul gave me some scum vibes on day 1, but im willing to let it slide for now, just because I think Patrick was very weird on day 1.
##lynch: Patrick |
Care to point out what scum vibes I gave?
If you're going to throw out suspicion, you should elaborate. It's not like there's any danger in doing so.

I think he tried to throw the three of us under the bus since I was an easy scapegoat and Curtis and Greenday both somewhat defended me. |
That's probably all it is to be honest.

I'm not gonna put out who I targetted because I don't think they're necessarily scum and I don't want to reveal they have what might be a protective role. If they're still at large, that role can be used to deflect mafia attacks.

since I'm outed anyway I might as well clear up day one.
I blocked Angi.
Sadly it didn't block her town flooding ability. |
It might have done but the kill order got fucked up. Either way it doesn't really matter.

If I was targetted by a PGO type role and a kill, that would explain it.
There was a second kill too, which I'm presuming was a town vigilante. Typically they only attack once every other night but I could see there being two vigilante roles, or one with a once per kill night. The fact the game had a reviver implies there has to be multiple kill roles in order to balance things properly.

What if Paul isn't the cult leader and targetted the PGO last night? (:
