Had a guy approach me for help at the gas pumps outside Walmart once, veteran, just gotten cancer, trying to keep his family going ... he even had his xrays from his doc.

I offered to buy him a tank of gas, no cash.

I did give a run down homeless looking guy a ride across town on my way home. He was close to my work to visit a clinic there, asked which way I was going, ended up dropping him by a Braums close to my house.

Nice guy, I was ready for him to ask for money, he didn't. Just needed a ride.
