I like this.
A lot actually.
I was thinking of how people could collab without screwing each other over but I got to thinking a bit.
Maybe each week there is a random shuffle and characters are paired up in groups of 2/3/4/etc... and they gain access to a certain room to post in.
But in addition to that they also get a hidden thread they can converse and organize in. They can work out the plot of that room visit and everything so that nothing is forced on anyone in particular.
Everyone can read everything in the story of the room but they can't see the discussion behind it.
Which should make the story look better and more cohesive to the readers and people not in said room.

It would also allow for interesting and varied character interactions.
Which are really the meat of any story.

I was kind of approaching it as a creative writing bit as well.
If the whole shuffling to rooms things work we could provide a picture of the room and what was in it and maybe give a topic or a theme that the room visit could deal with and the characters can sort of interact to that topic.
Like a theme for nostalgia or a theme for self-loathing....
I will have to give themes a bit more thought for sure and maybe pick broader themes but I dunno... it's an idea.

I've been considering making an adventure story similar to homestuck where people can shout out actions but I had hoped to get people to read that a little first (:

Would it be alias or no? Would we know who was writing for which character? |
I think aliased with nobody knowing would be better. haha

That would be funny/strange because we'd all probably be voting to keep our character alive despite not being the person writing for them |
we may have to put them out of their miseries if they get too wacky.

Alias is a bit awkward though. What's the best way to do that? Send all stories to whoever moderates it and that person posts them as he gets them? Could be tricky |
I was thinking maybe just host it off board.
I think that would be easier for it but I dunno.

Hosting off board always runs a huge risk of being inactive though
I think it'd work fine if we just submitted it to the moderator and let them post if we're doing anonymous |
I suppose but hey the two off board games going now are pretty strong I just figured it would work out pretty well.
But submitting it to a third party could work as well.
It would sort of put a damper on the collaborative aspects though.
