Lotr and hp were big fantasy franchises around the same time. The 2000-2001 area.

I think the harry potter movies are a mixed bag you start with awkward kid actors and every shot is a second long because they had to cut back and forth to have workable footage with 3 10 year old actors but by 3 I will say Azgaban is a good movie. Probably cliche to say that but it's the most watchable as a movie. Then it starts to go downhill and Goblet of fire whew boy that's mess of fitting too much book into a movie but I quote the cringey dialogue from that one all the time.

It's just so much baggage with this series now and it makes me sad because I used to genuinely love it and now I'm like sorta trans I guess and Rowling just cannot stop being literally the worst?

Like I so much would want to tell you to just watch them if you can avoid buying them? But that's like 8 movies of kinda ok movies with a need for some pretty big blinders to enjoy.

Only watch fantastic beasts like a crazy person

I voted yes but I'd rather you watch Ghibli. Madhouse movies are pretty great too. Perfect Blue, Summer Wars, Wolf Children, etc.

I think my reasons for not further promoting the series are valid.

If you forget then I really don't care your opinion on it.

i feel the shifting directors really hurts the overall narrative of the movies also not really knowing where the story ends makes some decisions in earlier films a bit pointless. i think the series would make for a nice netflix series in that regard it did wonders for ASOUE.

That said nah dont give Jo any more money prop up some other solid YA there is plenty out there.
