Factional kill = kill that can be performed by anyone on the team and is not enabled by a player’s specific role/action A player on mafia team typically has the option to do their factional kill or their allocated action (sometimes can do both depending on mod/role restrictions) A serial killer has the sole purpose of killing and that kill is inherent to that “faction” Any town role that can kill is purely due to their role assignment so it can’t be defined as factional
