Vern dying makes me think Nav is scum. I appreciate you not killing me, but I'd have preferred that over Vern dying early again. Especially when Penner was an option.

I've narrowed Vern's death down to three suspects. Myself, Nav, and Grumpy Grump.

It is well known that Vern has not played much mafia recently, so he was quite reluctant the last two times he signed up. When he did he was taken out immediately in the last game, and was worried it would happen again. He said as much when signing up. I also echoed this sentiment to which Nav replied:



Now, on the face of it Nav is a trickster. A LIAR. And an awfully fun fellow. But above all willing to hang a lantern on his nefarious acts. As you can see with the above evidence I've collected, Nav stated "if i roll mafia i'll make sure Vern dies b4 u Starangeline"

As I was well aware of this post I am a prime suspect, as I would be quite capable of using this information to throw sus on Nav for Vern being dead early.

Nav who made this post is a prime suspect for he is quite capable of saying something like that and going through with it for the ultimate troll.

Then we come to the Grump, who liked the post quite under the radar in the cover of shadows, alerting us now that he, too, was well aware of this post and could've used it to frame Nav.

In my own defense, I am an empathetic being who--while quite cutthroat and strategic--would never end Vern's game, of all people, on n1. I'd want to play with Vern.

Hmm. But of course the other explanation could be someone else randomly has or had a reason to want Vern dead.

I would think though that Brian would be the mafia's kill? If I was Mafia I'd want to kill people I think are good at being town or convincing others of who to go for, and he's right there at the top of that list. Would a vig really kill brian who always posts low just for having 2 posts yesterday?

I see what you're saying, but would Penner kill Vern over so many of the rest of us. I'd think he'd go through who was responsible for his early oust last time and kill one of them if he could kill. Spitefully.

If we think Brian was the vig kill and Vern was the mafia kill and not the other way around, the mafia would have to have some reason to want to kill Vern first. Why not leave him in if you're mafia when you'd probably think he'd end up getting himself lynched/sussed. We should look into the possible reasons. We don't currently have any night info, so it's all vibes and trying to think up what's most likely why and probably being wrong.
