Now to get things started, much like last time around, we will need to do a preliminary round due to the number of competitors. This is an OPTIONAL game that everyone in the tournament is free to compete in. However, the prize is undoubtedly important. The top seven scorers for this game will earn a "bye" in the first round of the tournament, granting them safety from elimination. The rest of the field will be randomly seeded and placed in match-ups where one from each pair will be eliminated on the road to Round 2.

Tetris

What more appropriate than a classic in Tetris to start things off? In this fast paced, strategical puzzle game you will move the pieces as they fall to try to form lines across the board in order to clear them and earn points. Try for combos of two, three of four lines in a row for more points. As the level increases, the pace does as well so keep up and get the best score to earn your bye!

You have until August 7th at 6 PM MST (roughly 26 hours from now) to submit your best score. Take a screenshot and PM it to me when you have done the best you feel you possibly can do.
