How integral is the flavor source in a mafia game to most of you? If it's something I think most people would consider lame, would that cripple sign-ups? Or would you still sign up just because it's a mafia game?
|
For a long time I've been wanting to host a WWE/F mafia game. I think the constant heel/face turns, swerves, and factions would serve a Mafia well. But I'm afraid it's far too divisive a subject. |
|
I just hosted a WrestleCrap mafia on another forum. They do a shit ton of wrestling mafias and a lot of people who know nothing about it play just fine. Go for it.
I doubt anyone will really be into the theme I'm gonna do either, but theme knowledge ain't exactly a requirement. It's all just flavor at the end of the day. |

I've decided that my game is going to have bi-weekly deadlines for Day and Night phases. |

I'm pretty much good to go if Dylan and DD aren't ready either. |

Since I would very much like to host something within the next two years, I'm heading to the back of the line. |

How many people on the queue actually have a theme in mind at all? |

I'm thinking we should just add themes/ideas to the queue list anyway unless people specifically want it to be a surprise. I think Mal, Zersch and DD are the only ones who publicly announced theirs though. |

If nobody else does it before then, I think I'm gonna make mine the long-awaited members mafia. If someone else does or is already planning on it, I'll do my original idea. |

Haven't seen Jake in awhile so I have Dylan penciled in next. If he shows up, I'll re-order the list. |

we should have a raffle to determine the next game. |
I've actually thought about having like a GRAB BAG every x games on the list. When we hit a spot, we all vote in a poll which game on the list we wanna see next. Like if someone has an idea that people really wanna do but it's way down the list
Would people like this or would you feel like it's not fair enough to the person who might've been next originally? |
Considering a large bulk of the games started up at the same time, I think this idea is fine. |

I've never been in a pluarlity game before FE and every single time, the Day Phases are incredibly boring, drag on and always result in no lynches. They suck at mafia in general though.
They also describe all the actions that happened in the night phase and give vague descriptions of the characters in the write up. It kind of makes every single role an investigate role as people can claim seeing people in the write-up. But it makes for some fun reading I guess. |

I actually wanted to do one of those quick mini mafia games where all the roles are shuffled into a "deck" and each person gets two roles, but discard one. Every role that was discarded is revealed, showing what each person passed on. |
