I first started watching this at a friends house. We both were kind of ehh on National Anthem. However, I absolutely loved Fifteen Million Merits and would have got me hooked. I LOVED the quietness of this episode. Made the ending that much more impactful to me. She, however, hated it and stopped watching so I kind of fell off watching for a bit.
Shut up and Dance was truly fucked up but god damn that kids acting was so good. I definitely need to rewatch this knowing what was revealed at the end. And I loved seeing BRONN!
San Junipero was great. I'm a sucker for 80's time pieces and I loved the atmosphere, music and setting. The random Pixies song playing at the Quagmire, holy shit :dd: The twist in this one was absolutely fantastic. Technology has a way of ruining lives, but it doesn't have to be the end result every single time. And after that awful twist reveal in the previous episode of Shut Up and Dance, it was very refreshing to get a NICE episode!
White Bear is what brought me back into this. This was the first episode where I was legit WTF over the twist. The entire episode made me extremely uncomfortable. There was just something very horrifying about people just silently filming everything, which is already a scary social commentary. The twist caught me very off guard.
I enjoyed White Christmas thoroughly. Jon Hamm and his two flashback segments were very entertaining. But god damn did that ending make me feel terrible. Also, we had that bird clock when I was a young man! I vividly remember the commercials for it.
Nosedive was scary because of how eerily accurate it is on it's portrayal of social media into the real world. This was really predictable but regardless, was entertaining throughout. I loved the ending so, so much.
Playtest took awhile for me to get into but the whole thing being revealed as to have taken 4 seconds and the guy dying because he wouldn't just answer the fucking phone earlier for his mom was... jeez. I didn't like the beginning too much but for some reason I was super entertained by his excitement over trying all these cool games in the middle. Knowing now he was dead before that even happened.... :animal:
I did really like the twist in Hated in the Nation with all the hashtag users getting killed but the ending itself was extremely anticlimactic.
BRB was just bummed me out throughout. Wasn't a bad episode, just very depressing.
Entire History of You had a good premise, but I could not stand the characters enough to feel sympathy for the terrible shit going on. Maybe that was the point. /shrug Need to rewatch this one admittedly, it's a bit of a blur.
Didn't care for Waldo at all.
I fell asleep during Men Against Fire. Rewatched it and lost attention. Rewatched again and realized I didn't miss that much. |
I'm off the next two days so I'll probably finish S4 soon. |
