Very enjoyable. I was super sad to see Armond be the one to die, he was my favorite by far and I was hoping he'd be a constant character in the series as the cast changes through different vacations in different seasons. The show is going to be very weird without him. Quinn's story was also super enjoyable and I loved the dynamic between him and Mark. That whole family was easily the highlight for me aside from the Shane/Armond rivalry. Could have done without seeing Steve Zahn's penis in my lifetime but that's ok. Guess that's what I get for watching National Security at least 50 times in my adolescence because I had terrible taste in movies.
Anyway I'm definitely gonna watch S2 soon. Already got spoiled by a major thing that happens so I'm very excited and happy about that. Oh well! |

Annnd done! I actually liked S2 way more and it's not even close for me. But here's thots:

First of all - the huge spoiler ruined absolutely nothing for me. Matter of fact, it really made the finale pretty TENSE since I knew her ultimate fate but didn't know the how. I was waiting for someone to jump out and push her off the boat after the bloodbath. Was not expecting her to just bonk her head like a cartoon character to end her run but a poetic way to die after all that I suppose. It's funny because I thought for sure Tanya was the dead body in S1 and she died on the boat to ruin Shane's romantic dinner idea. I didn't really like Tanya in S1 at all and her scenes were usually where I drifted off and while it started off that way, the unraveling of the conspiracy surrounding Greg was really interesting. Curious that Gries is not listed for S3 cause you figure we'd follow up with him and the inheritance at some point, they definitely have to touch on that no?
Aside from that, the characters this season were so good and I loved following every arc. Lucia was easily my favorite character and her ending was fucking brutal. The show made it glaringly obvious she was going to fuck Albie over but I still had a glimmer of hope that her plight was genuine. Him realizing he got duped after she left the room was heartbreaking but I couldn't help but smile at the closing shot of her and Mia. Albie and Portia just kinda settling for each other at the airport after they both got screwed was pretty funny. Also really liked Ethan's arc a lot. I kind of expected that to take a very twisted turn and I'm glad it really didn't. |
