Watching the first ep now. Figured I'd try it since I'm not currently watching anything. Man there's a lot of tits on this show so far. Not that I'm complaining.

Onto Ep 7. Fucking hooked on this show, damn you people.

Agreed about the back stories. That's one of the things I look forward to each new show. I usually haaaate flashback sequences sprinkled in the middle of shows cause of how out of place they can be, but they really work here.

Yeah I thought that was really weird.

I'm on the penultimate episode now. I love the show, but it feels really strange. Like it doesn't feel like a "first season" after those first few episodes, if that makes sense? Just a lot of plot stuff happening you would expect to be drawn out a little more or happen a lot later. Maybe they weren't sure if they'd be a second season or something, I dunno.

What a great actress.

It's amazing how great the acting is on the show despite the cast's experience. A good chunk of them are on their first roles in this show. Trish/Cornrow girl never had a role before this show, which blew me away cause she was pretty excellent. Crazy Eyes has never been more than an extra either.

I still can't get over that freakin Patti Mayonnaise is in prison with them.

I felt pretty horrible about Lorna's backstory finally being revealed. They heavily hinted in Season 1 that her "fiance" didn't really exist, but damn. That scene in the court was fucked. All that smiling and nodding along as Christpher described how much of a psycho she was for following him around.

I got about a half hour into the finale before I was struggling to keep my eyes open. Will finish it off after work.

This has been a great season. Love how much screentime everyone is getting. Piper doesn't even feel like the main character anymore, everyone kinda is.

I got really sad when Piper said she only had 8 months of her sentence left, which is about half her sentence already. And apparently the real Piper got out two or three months early, to make it worse.

I hope this turns into like a jail Degrassi where we get to stay focused on the prison and it's current roster of inmates, maybe occasionally looking back at some of the released ones and what they're doing in life. I know this is based on Piper's memoirs, but fuck it. This show is way too good to end after like 3 or 4 seasons like it's looking.

Anyway, gonna finish the finale now. Hooray.

I quite enjoyed Degrassi when I was young, yes.

Eh, honestly I just binge it but I find this show extremely addicting and easy to get lost in so I can't really help it.

I agree with Nofo about a lot of stuff. It was refreshing that the main story arc with Vee was completely seperate from Piper's problems with Larry/Polly. So many people got to have major story arcs and someone who barely got any lines at all last season in Rosa not only got a ton of development but even got to close the fucking finale. That was so bad-ass, I literally jumped out of my seat when she ran Vee over. I was totally expecting them to just give her a lame "everyone wakes up to see she died from her cancer last night, how very sad" demise. I kind of want to make my sig a gif of her transforming into her younger self while driving now. Agree that Poussey is great. I really liked her in Season 1, but she skyrocketed this season when she stood up to Vee. Her, Morello and Red are probably my favorites right now. Rosa too for sure, but she'll be dead very soon ;____; One minor complaint, Netflix did a great job of ruining some suspenseful moments. Mainly showing Pornstache in the thumbnail for an episode that teased somebody returning. Another was featuring Pennsatucky in all the promo shots while spending half of Episode 1 teasing that Piper killed her and is being transferred to a max security prison for it. That was sort of the big cliffhanger for Season 1's end, ya'know. Other than that, this was fantastic. I'm mad at myself for binging it cause I want more but fuck it.

Are you talking about Miss Claudette? She got transferred to a max prison cause they rejected her appeal letter and then choked Fischer.

That saddened me too :(
