I dunno, I'm kind of feeling it. I love Magik and Cannonball, and I'm assuming that was a shot of Sunspot in the dryer. And Maisie is definitely going to do a better job with her role than Sophie did as Jean Grey. I always really liked the offshoot teams when I was a kid for some reason. New Mutants, X-Factor, X-Force, X-ETC. I liked a lot of the tertiary characters that were never on the main team.
I just wish Marvel could use Cable and Domino for this.

Looking back I've come to accept that Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm Street are all terrible franchises over all. Jason, Michael and Freddy became icons that eclipsed the shitty movies they were shackled with. The first one or two usually works in all three, and there's another decent one sprinkled in later but for the most part - bleh.

I've never seen them but weren't the original Halloween and Nightmare movies supposed to be genuinely good? |
The first NoES is good. The third one (Dream Warriors) is probably the best. Much later on New Nightmare was fun. The rest are complete dumpster fires.
Halloween is a classic, it's a great movie. The second is good too. I like the third even tho it had nothing to do with Michael Myers. The rest are terrible, wgaf entries. At a stretch I would say I like H2O out of nostalgia and that Rob Zombie's (first) remake wasn't as bad as people say it is.

We won't even talk about the Helllraiser movies. |
I am the only person on the face of the earth that will say that they liked Inferno and Hellseeker.

They aren't terrible horror movies, they just aren't so Clive Barkerish.
Now if you said you liked Hellraiser:Revelations or Hellworld, then I wouldn't be able to stop laughing. |
Yeah, I guess that's accurate. They definitely weren't good Hellraiser movies.
Did you read the Scarlet Gospels?
I don't think I ever watched Revelations, but I saw Hellworld just because of Lance Henriksen being in it. Not even he could save it, and he alone can usually save a shitty horror movie for me.

I read the New Mutants, X Factor comics quite a bit as a lad ... but I don't think nostalgia will make me watch this movie.
Does make me want to dig out my old comics and admire Rob Liefeld's disproportionately laughable human anatomies though ... |
And pouches. NEVER forget the pouches.
