I've read and decided I was going to buy the game three or four times now but I talk myself out of it each time. Like Natalie said the price drop is inevitable due to the bad scores. That being said, from what I've read that people that are fans of Westeros and forgiving of outdated graphics and horrible voice acting will have plenty of fun, if just for the novelty of being in the world.
It takes place during the first book but the events of the game are not canon.
In blackwater, when the Queen attacked her cousin Lancel for demanded he take Jofferey back to battle, did she kill him? I heard that somewhere but it looked as if she just hit him in the show :/
Lancel is a fierce bitch.

Cersei only punched the wound he took from an arrow during the Battle of Blackwater. Seems like he was less injured in the show than he was in the book unless I remember wrong, but no, she didn't kill him or anything like that.
It's definitely stupid, and all of it falls on the show creators because they strayed off course with Qarth.

The show went out of the way to try to spruce up Daenerys' storyline in Essos so far. While she has her moments, in reality a whole lot of nothing comes to pass in the books, save for the vastly superior print version of the House of the Undying. No dragon stealing, no burning Pyat Pree death, no city council slaughter - Pyat Pree is one of a few representatives in the books. He's a very curious character for sure.
Fourteen new castings for Game of Thrones season 3, which will premiere March 31st, 2013. A hop, skip, and jump down the road but I am still excited.
The video below introduces you to the actors. I made a little spoiler free list of the characters and a brief overview with links to the applicable IMDb pages. Beric Dondarrion didn't seem to have one. Or I spelled his name wrong three times.

You're very welcome, I figure it might be helpful since that's fourteen brand new characters they're dumping into the lap of non-readers or readers that haven't caught up. I like to try to help out with any "who's that? who's this?" that arises. And I'm looking forward to watching this season alongside non-readers. It will be a barrel of fun.
That was the actor that played Beric in Season 1, but your post lead me to just Google the new guy and it brought him up. I don't know why the in-house IMDb search didn't.
No apologies needed for trying to help out! Kinda wish they would have stuck with the original guy TBH. But his part was so small and I haven't seen this new guy in action so I have exactly zero basis to judge either of them on.
I also hope the original Gregor Clegane comes back. He left to film the Hobbit and to be honest I couldn't even pick the new Gregor out in this past season. I remember hearing him addressed a few times but the original Mountain that chopped the horse's head off had hella presence.
Where did you all hear that George left notes for another author to complete the books in the event of his passing? Everything I ever read said that he was staunchly opposed to that idea, and did not want anyone else to touch the books if he were to die. I remember even reading that he told his wife, Paris, to burn his notes if he died.
This was all prior to him giving the general outline to Weiss and the other show runner, though.
