Dat ass doe.

I find the cities she is practicing being queen of before moving on about as exciting as an ant farm. Which is to say, not very exciting, and I think that taints everything else for me. I do like the dragons, and Barristan and Mormont and the rest of her entourage.

And the spirit of Strong Belwas who was so ruthlessly removed from the show. Sometimes I can still see him shitting on decapitated bodies in the distance.

I'm just repeating what has already been said, basically. Which is quite fitting for a discussion on Dany's storyline. Once all is said and done hopefully it won't seem as frustratingly plodding as it does now. I just really, really hate the character names in this upcoming city.

Unless GRRM writes another book...

He's doing everything he can to make sure that doesn't come to pass. I wouldn't be surprised if he shelved TWOW and is working on a book about the history of the New York Jets.

Also, can't take new Daario seriously.

Every time they jump from Westeros to Essos during an episode they should change Daario's actor. I just remembered his golden tit swords from the book that he was always thumb fondling - that is another criminal cut they made for the show.

We want Belwas and golden tit swords, and we want them now!!!

I dunno if new Daario has them but I don't see why he wouldn't

Oh shit, must have missed this whenever it was shown.

Abraham Targaryen continues her freedom tour. That last scene was missing something. Namely a big fat guy cutting himself. Old Daario was and even looked like a sarcastic ass. New Daario is just.., a face in the crowd.

Everything else was alright. Not a bad episode or anything. I love Oberyn's fuck parties.

I'm also rooting for the founding of House Dragon sometime in the next book, with Drogon sitting - er - perching on the iron throne by series end. I think he's got the chutzpah needed to be king.

I kinda like the new Daario (: . At least compared to the old one. I really hated the old one. He looked like a foreign soap star

That's kind of where my annoyance comes from. I hate this new Daario because I don't hate him as much as the last guy. Reading the books I knew they would have to grab an actor I hated just by looking at him. They scored big time in that department with the first Daario. This guy seems likable. Which Daario is not. Or at least, I never found anything about him likable. Other than his swords and multicolored facial hair.

Oh and what's with Stannis getting back into the fray for the throne? Didn't Mel say that the throne doesn't mean shit at the end of last season because of the White Walker threat? Are they just putting that ON HOLD now? Or maybe I just misinterpreted that last season

Just an answer to your last question there. Put in spoilers in case you don't actually want an answer and want to find out on your own through the show.

Partially due to the differences on her stance with Jaime in the show than in the book?

Book stuff+

I guess I can kinda see that. Still, it feels like an ultimately unnecessary change. Let them have a mutual incestual grief fuck and then let's awkwardly stroll past it.

Do you think part of it was that the book was from Jaime's POV, so maybe he was a bit of an unreliable narrator?

It just seems like such a drastic change otherwise. I dunno how much control GRRM has over all the scripts but it seems weird that he'd let something like that by if it's so out of line with the books

That I could buy more easily, since unreliable narration is the other game being played in this series.

SHE CONSENTED HALFWAY THROUGH. DIDN'T YOU SEE?

Absolutely, I seen't it! She pushed back - that's his story and he's sticking to it.

If the directors deciced to have Jaime rape his sister in the middle of his redemption arc then continue the arc from there as if it never happened, its going to be pretty awful.

Definitely agree. I can stand for it to not be a straightforward "Jaime is gradually redeemed" arc because in real life people usually stumble and hit roadblocks on their path to improvement, but raping your sister is obviously not just a "roadblock," it's a pretty significantly terrible thing. Cersei is a terrible person but Jaime has really lost any moral high ground with her. I hope the creators don't try to whitewash this, because that is a very irresponsible thing to do and I am not being hyperbolic when I say it can possibly lead to actual people thinking rape is more acceptable and thus committing rape.

Seems like hyperbole to me. Anything could potentially possibly lead to actual, dysfunctional idiots thinking and doing anything. I just think the scene sucked for plenty of other reasons without having to take the "won't someone think of the children/teens/mentally handicapped adults" stance.
