Yeah I'm a firm believer that any pardon (even though controlled by town this time) or power that resets votes should have a deadline of 2 or 3 hours before deadline.

I also still don't understand why Kyle did what he did without knowing he was for sure saving town. But whatever.

Tbf, Town players with that ability rarely, if ever, are certain of another players alignment when they decide to use a power like that. Normally, you see that power are part of a mason group, who may also have an investigative ability as well.

Yeah that's why if I were town without investigation, I'd only use it on myself.
