The way you described your role, you protect your target from being redirected (i.e., you escort them to where they were meant to go.) I don't see anything in your description of your role that says you avoid redirection.

Mirror shield people, does your shield come with instructions about how long it lasts?

I thought Aries said he was distracted.

I don't see how they're conflicting. Herm's is affirmative. Actions his target want to make will happen the way his target intended. TIB's affects the actions of those who attempt to target his target.
