Joe's self talk throughout the series is some of the best writing I've seen in a while.

Season 1 had much more physical stuff in it, and more wtf moments, but I liked the writing in both seasons. The dialogue, and joe's self talk.

I found both seasons pretty predictable.
|
First scene with Joe in it, there is such a SK vibe that it's almost a billboard. Paco's douche stepdad was destined to be a target from his first scene. 3 episodes in, it's obvious that Love is crazier/scarier than Joe, and that 40 is maybe the most "normal" one of the bunch. |
That said, I still liked them both. For me S1 had more "WTF moments" than S2, so it was less predictable.

Mainly S2 lacked a peach type protagonist. She made S1 so much better because it made Joe so much more grey.
