Jaws has horror elements, but it's also action/ adventure, thriller, and buddy flic all rolled into one.

Pigeonholing it as horror is dumb.

JP has sci fi elements, but the main point is action/adventure. It has absolutely zero horror elements.

Alien has some horror, psycho thriller aspects and some action. I could call it half horror, but not a full on horror movie.

Jaws/Alien/Jurassic Park are questionable for a lot of people (mostly JP) because they're so effective at being a handful of genres rolled into one. They're like the grandfathers of that imo. THEY'RE ALL KINGS

One of the big things about jaws was that it didn't fit into any one genre, but fit perfectly into so many of them. The other 2 seem to be similar.

Don't come crying to me when those mutant zombie frogs start flying around shooting laser beams and controlling minds. I tried to tell you.

Is it because they don't know how or are afraid of bathing?

Afraid of sharks. In the pool.

I see horror movies as movies who only fit in the horror category, or where the main goal is to scare. That's why most of them suck. If the only goal is to be scary, it's really hard to achieve and almost never works.

JP, Jaws, Alien don't fit that criteria. They are multi genre movies made to appeal to a wider audience and sell an assload of tickets, Not horror movies.

I also beg to differ because I was afraid of anacondas when I went swimming after I watched it when I was younger

If you lived in Florida, this might be legit.

I was more afraid of cottonmouths while swimming when I was a kid, and I'm not afraid of snakes, normally.

Calling Jaws a horror movie is like calling a diamond a really old piece of coal. Technically fits the description, but completely misses the point.

I’d pay to watch Spin/Primate/JJ try to convince Steven Spielberg that he failed to make Jaws a horror movie

It rubs the lotion on its skin

I am saying Jaws doesn't fit in curry boy's little pigeonhole. The brilliance of the movie is that it incorporates a bunch of genres, and was one of the first to do it, and maybe did it better than any movie since.

Dick puncher can't seem to grasp that because he's an anal fuckwit with raging OCD.
