Someone catch me up on Day 3. I missed the whole thing at work. This corona virus shit is really screwing up my life right now.

I caught your original post at the time I read it, and thought you were claiming to be one of the 4 variations of cops, but then you went into the nexus stuff, and I wasn't sure how that jived.

the flavor kinda makes it read like garlic and DS were the arson deaths. merc's flip hinted at there being a partner of sorts who is the one in charge of igniting his primed victims i like that rodney is so obsessed with the arsonist role thanks to spinny trolling him with a firefighter role that one time

He also had Jamie as a sleepwalker, I think.

That's also how I read it, so I'm working under the assumption that Merc either had a partner, or there is another 3rd party role out there that is the switch-er. Merc primes them, [unknown player] flips the switch.

I was hoping it was a one time thing (especially with Merc's death), but the switch made a reappearance today.

The Switch was Off on D1 and D2, and then on D3 the Switch was On, and the two players got fried. Looks like the switch activates the electricity.

Not knowing Merc's win condition makes it harder to theorize, but if he just had to outlive anyone, it wouldn't really matter who he picked, as long as they died at some point.

So, Merc definitely has a partner, as there is no way he'd get to the >25% kill count and not be able to activate it himself.

Looks like the switch activates the electricity. coming back to this, so far we have seen 2 instances of multi deaths. and there were only 2 nights where merc was able to prime someone. so if ur saying the switch is what triggers the priming action then ur saying there is someone else out there who can ALSO prime people at night other than merc AND also has access to the switch that ignites people

That's not what I'm saying.

1. Merc could prime people. It looks like he primed Jamie and Mittens on N1 and N2 (in some order).
2. There is a person out there (probably a partner of Merc) who can activate the switch. They did so on N2.
3. With the people that died today, it is looking like a scum bomber-type action.

I figured with Merc dead, we would have seen the last of the switch. Maybe the switch is now a dud, or maybe someone took over for Merc (SKiT like?), or maybe the switch-er can take over the priming? I have no idea. Guess we'll have to wait to see when the switch is activated next to know more?
