Timberwolves are going to be the best team to miss the playoffs once again! Yay 14th picks!

I can't believe the Pels took Zion. Why would they take that bum at #1? What a reach. Obviously, they are trying too hard to replace AD.

Can someone in the Boston area check in on im317? I'm worried for him, based on how the Celtics are handling this draft tonight.

Spin wakes up on July 1, goes to Twitter to check out all the awesome free agent news associated with the T-Wolves...
D-Rose agrees to 2-year deal with Pistons
Ok, not a huge loss, down some scoring, but they should be able to find a replacement out there, as 2-guards pretty much grow on trees...
Taj Gibson agrees to 2-year deal with the Knicks
Hmmm. Losing out on some post depth isn't the best, but if we could find a wing to replace him, that might actually work better in the current NBA. Also, I'm sure that Taj Gibson was exactly the player all Knicks fans were excited to get.
T-Wolves miss out on D'Angelo Russel.
That headline should probably read "Wolves miss out on opportunity to trade Wiggins.
.........
That's it? Two guys left, and nobody signed? I can't wait for another season of 36-46, and a 10th seed in the West!

hey at least you didn't give Randle a 3 year contract at over $20 mil per year. whenever you feel bad remember you could always be a Knicks fan. |
We drafted two point guards (Rubio and Johnny Flynn) ahead of Stephen Curry. Our team's greatest accomplishment was pushing the Lakers to a Game 6 in the Western FInals back in 2004 (which we lost as the #1 seed).
While it is worse to be a Knicks fan today, it's been much much worse to be a Wolves fan over the past 30 years.

i would argue its been worse for the Knicks since the late 90s. there 'playoff runs' after that were just illusions and they never had a chance of getting past the conference finals if that, plus Dolan is probably the worst owner in the NBA. and that is saying something. |
Since the 1989-1990 season (when the T-Wolves started):
Playoff appearances: MIN = 9; NYK = 16
First round exits: MIN = 8; NYK = 5
Second round exits: MIN = 0; NYK = 7
Conference finals exits: MIN = 1 (2004); NYK = 2 (1993, 2000)
NBA finals exits: MIN = 0; NYK = 2 (1994, 1999)
NBA titles: MIN = 0; NYK = 0
Last playoff win: MIN = 2004; NYK = 2013
Winning seasons: MIN = 8; NYK = 14
Step out of your east-coast bias, and it's obvious, the Wolves have been a much worse team over the last 28 seasons. That said, Dolan is definitely the worst owner.

Knicks have still been better since the late 90s, as the late 90s was the last time the Wolves were any good.
We are the Browns of the NBA. You can't take that away from us.

I'm glad the Timberwolves finally found a way to stop their losing streak.

T-Wolves secure the #1 pick in a weak draft class. Can't wait for them to draft Wiggins 2.0!
I can already imaging Lavar Ball called up the Wolves front office and said there is no way in hell his kids/family would be moving to Minnesota.

if the Heat make the finals my pick is Lakers in 3. well 5 since you cant win in 3 and the league wont allow the finals to only be 4 games on top of all the other revenue shortfalls this year. which is a long way of saying that the Heat are not anywhere good enough to win a title. |
Yet they just took it to the Celtics, and I bet you would have picked the Celtics to win in the finals if they had made it.

Probably time to start a new thread for the new league year.
