As I have been told by the popo there is no cushion in Arkansas. |
Well, the police in Little Rock must not own speed guns, as everybody goes 10-20 over in town. The main road I take to work has a 40 mph speed limit, and if you aren't doing 50, you are getting run over. Maybe that lackadaisical attitude by the police is offset by the fact that there is a speed bump about every 500 feet on most roads in this town.
There are definitely a couple of towns in northern Arkansas that are known to be notorious speed traps, which actually were sued and taken to the state supreme court. I don't think they can speed trap as much anymore (something about quotas and funding via tickets, etc.). | |
I'm the overly cautious driver that always lets people go and makes them nervous and confused, and drives slightly under the speed limit at all times.
Driving terrifies me |
As one of those 'other drivers', I recommend you take the bus. |
