By definition, a thumb is not a finger. It's a thumb. You have eight fingers.

You are dumb. Thumb is just the name given to the finger with 2 phalanges instead of three. It's still a finger.

You've got the pinky finger, ring finger, middle finger, index finger, and then just a THUMB.

Humans, as a species, have 5 fingers and 5 toes on each limb. It's simple biology. Just because you call it something else, doesn't make it different.

G,1,2 makes more sense while you are designing and building the structure. 1,2,3 makes more sense once it's furnished and in use.

The building I worked in while in grad school was set up where the basement was Floor 1 and Floor 2 was the main street-level floor. My favorite part of each new semester was when all the dumb freshmen would pile onto the elevator (to theoretically go up one floor to class), press the 2 button, and look really confused when the elevator didn't go anywhere. Eventually they'd see the giant 2 on the wall in front of the elevator and stumble out.

Fun times.
