Fast-casual restaurants are the new craze sweeping America. Which of the top 16 choices (taken from this link: click here for list) are your favorites? You can select up to 4 options.
Some of my favorites that didn't make the cut:
#17: Noodles and Company
#18: Einstein Bros. Bagels
#23: Pei Wei Asian Diner
#26: Smashburger
#31: Fazoli's
#32: Rubio's
#40: Newk's Eatery | |

Raising Cane's is the only one I haven't heard of in that list, and Zaxby's is the only other one I haven't eaten at. Although, I could change that easily, as there are a couple of Zaxby's here in Little Rock.

Second: IGOR GET A FUCKING BREAD BOWL YOU GOON |
Because you can't drive thru? No idea.

Chipolte, Raising Canes, McAlisters
Raising Cane is very similar to Zaxby's, the guy who started it has a neat story.
He wrote his business plan in college, got the lowest grade, and the professor told him it would never work. |
Raising Cane's looks a whole lot like a chain we have here in Little Rock called Slim Chickens that my daughter loves.

Literally not a single one of these exists in England |
Sorry, I guess the poll is something more US-centric.

The town I grew up in had 0/20 of these (they now have a Jimmy John's), but the whole fast-casual thing didn't really pick up steam until I was in H.S., so that's not a surprise.
16/20 were available in Tucson when I was there (from my recollection).
8/20 are available in Little Rock.
I miss living in Tucson. The food there is just freaking awesome.

Not sure what makes these fast casual instead of fast food, but:
Panda Express - cheap chinese, excellent orange chicken
Five Guys - burgers are decent for over cooked, but fries are the winner
Qdoba - queso and chips- nuff said
Firehouse Subs - sandwiches are pretty quality
Place I will never go: Jimmy Johns. Owner is a slimeball and he doesn't deserve any cash.

I guess my poll should have been: Are these fast-casual restaurants?
TOMORROW! | |

Fazoli's, Culver's, Smashburger, Red Robin >>> any of those options
That said I went with
Five Guys - find them highly overrated but still solid burgers. And I do like the malt vinegar with the fries a lot
Jersey Mike's - probably the best sub place
Dickey's - I do actually really like this place, but not even really for the meat. I just like that I can get two sides of mac & cheese and unlimited butterscotch root beer floats

Culver's is awesome. | |

I've never tried Dickey's ... but know I've seen several attached to a gas station, so didn't really think their bbq would be good |
It's good BBQ if you live in an area that doesn't have BBQ. However, if you have access to local BBQ, then all chains are basically terrible.
