It's about that time to start this up again. If you are interested in playing again (or joining us as a new team), please let me know. Other than the draft, it's very little work on the part of the player throughout the season, although I'd be open to allowing trading of teams this season, to keep people a bit more invested as the season drags out? I'll post the rules from last year below, and if you are interested, sign up. I'd guess a draft will start in a week or two, depending on how quickly people sign up. We had 9 players last time, and 9 is about the maximum we'd want to take as some conference don't have more than 9 teams. I'd be good with any number between 6-9 for entries.

Here are the general rules for the league.

1. Each player will select one team from each conference that sponsors Men's D1 basketball.
2. Each team can only be selected once.
3. When it is your turn to draft, you can select any available team from any conference in which you don't already have a team.
4. Once the draft is complete, you may trade teams with other players, but you can never have more (or less) than one team per conference.

Scoring system:
Teams will score points based on their conference record at the end of the season. A team that wins their conference will score 10 points, the team that finishes second will score 9 points, and so on down to 1 point for a tenth place finish. If a team finishes lower than 10th in their conference, they will receive 0 points. In the case of tied records, seeding in the conference tournament will be used to break the tie. If a team is to win their post-season conference tournament, they will receive a 1 point bonus. Once all the conference tournaments are completed, scores will be tabulated and the player with the highest score will be determined the winner. In the rare case of a tie in points, here are the tiebreakers: 1) most conference champions, 2) most conference tournament champions, 3) player with the team that advances furthest in the NCAA tournament, and 4) if multiple teams are eliminated in the same round (for tiebreaker #3), the team that scored the most points in their last game will be declared the winner.

The draft will likely take place on Discord (this worked really well last time), and picks will be tracked using a Google Sheet. Join in, and see if you can take down the reigning champ (i.e., Me!).

Don't have access to discord at work nor FE. SOmeone would have to pick all my teams.

You could always just put together a list and send it to me, and I can pick for you. I did this for Primate last year. He just sent me a copy of the spreadsheet with his teams ranked in each conference, then told me what conferences to pick from (or just go alphabetically in order).

Looks like we've got up to 8 players so far, so if there is one more out there that really wants in, let me know this week. My week will really slow down starting Thursday, and then I'm essentially off the next week, so I'll spend the time then to get everything setup and we can start picking teams.
