It's been 4 years since the last Chinese tank rolled back across the deserted salt flats of Aksai Chin and the last great war ended. The people of Kashmir had finally driven out all the invaders. They could finally relax and breathe for a little bit. Or so they thought.
The central government of India was pleased that the small mountainous territory was finally able to defend itself against foreign invaders. It had been wanting to fully bring in the entire Kashmir region within its borders again after continual wars for the last century or so. It wasn't more than a month when the President sent an envoy of bureaucrats and military leaders to instill a regional government in Kashmir as a prelude for giving it full state status.
However, the locals had no interest in this plan at all. Hell, they were the ones doing the fighting, they wanted their independence, but more importantly, they just wanted to be left alone. It was their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts, and uncles that had spilled blood in these intense wars, not the lowlanders. It was looking like there was going to be a fight coming up once again, but this time I would happen from within.
Not to be left out, some of the neighboring countries looked on in strong interest, waiting patiently to see what would come of this internal skirmish and to see if there was a chance for them to once again get in on the riches of the beautiful Kashmir valley.
Will the Kashmiri natives finally gain the independence they so desire? Will the Indians finally have their resource-rich mountain state? Stay tuned to find out.

It may be the only time in my life I’d rather be in New York than Texas in winter. |
My driveway and the street/hill in front of my house has a good half inch of ice on it still from Wednesday night, and it isn't supposed to get above freezing again until late next week. They are talking 6-10 inches of snow next week too, which is insane for central Arkansas (at least recently).
I'm so glad all southerners know how to drive in wintery road conditions. | | |

| The south buys winter clothes based on fashion not warmth. |
My winter gear sits in a closet, alone, for 98% of the year, only to come out when I go to visit family in the north around the holidays. I've never felt the need to use my winter coat/gloves living in Arkansas. Well, that is until next week. I may have to bust them out for the first time in 6 years.

A meeting had been called in Srinagar to discuss the recent edicts coming out of the Prime Minister's office in New Delhi. However, they chose a bad date to hold the meeting, as most people had already made plans for the holiday weekend. For those few in attendance, they had business to conduct.
"I saw Farlig flying the Indian Flag on his front porch!" said Ahoda, not even waiting to be called on to speak.
"I know you are, but what am I?" retorted Farlig.
The group just rolled their eyes at this stupid exchange.
In the end, the town had to vote to banish someone by strapping them to the next caravan out of town, and after the role was taken, it was clear that Farlig wasn't going to be staying in Kashmir too much longer.

Ability: You fight for the common citizen! Each night the player will visit one other player. The player will learn if their target is "vanilla" (i.e. no active night abilities) or "not vanilla". If the target is vanilla, you will protect them from standard kills that same night.
