I've been slowly whittling away at the pounds over the past decade. My biggest problem is that I eat like a complete asshole with no self restraint.
Right now I am just trying to eat better - less breads/carbs, less fast food or fried food, more water, a little less booze, more meats and vegetables as my primary food groups, etc... I am also exercising a lot right now. I play a couple hours of tennis 1-2 times per week (better workout than you'd think if you play competitively), an hour of basketball 1-2 times per week (also a great workout), I go to Orange Theory 1-2 times per week, and I try to get in a 4 mile or so run at least once a week. My goal is to get in 5 workouts each week, and since I do so many different things as part of "working out" it doesn't get boring or seem like too much of a bother. If I am working out that much each week, I don't really have to worry about gaining any weight regardless of how bad I eat and I will lose a little if I watch what I eat just a little bit. |
