That's awesome. I enjoyed the writeup, leaving us in suspense to have to read the flips at the end.

It can be tough to get much from a D1 lynch, but I'm going to try.
I'm looking right now at the people who voted late for someone other than FC. Why would I do that, you might ask. Good question. With about 4 hours left, FC was a good 3-4 votes ahead in the lynch. While, lynches on this site sometimes turn on a dime, that does provide a pretty good idea that, barring something changing, FC was going to be the lynch. IMO, if there were scum on that lynch, they'd likely stay on it. But, if there were scum off the lynch, they would not likely join it because they would know, or have an idea, that FC was not going to flip scum. Jumping on it late for no reason, "could" be a way to draw extra attention to oneself.
Therefore, in the last 4 hours or so of D1, the following people voted someone other than FC: brian, Ahoda, Redster, JC, Angi, FC, Nobert, Wikey.
There is a line of demarcation in there where FC had yet to post, so as an exercise, I will eliminate for now those who fall into this category, but prior to FC's run of posts. That leaves JC, Angi, Nobert, Wikey. As we've all seen, Angi was scum. So, that leaves JC, Nobert, and Wikey.

Of those three, Wikey moving his vote at the last possible moment, looks the worst to me. |
I just sort of picked between those 3 at random, don't disagree with you here, or with Buffy's assessment of it either.

That's a pretty good analysis. |
Jeff's vote looks pretty joking to me. Wikey's last minute hop looks pretty bad, I'd like to hear more from him.
Of course, Timmah looks pretty bad for wanting to crucify anybody that hopped off a townie lynch train. That is pretty weird, considering the fact that his train was based on nothing. |
It has nothing to do with who hopped off, as I'm not sure any of those people I listed were actually on the Free Candy lynch and then jumped off. It has more to do with who, perhaps, was avoiding it. This is by no means a foolproof and 100% accurate assessment of who we should look at for a lynch today, but it's all I've got.

The theory makes no assumptions whatsoever about brian. It merely examines the votes on FC and the votes cast on people not FC, starting with about 4 hours to the deadline. Also, your unlynch and then lynch of brian is the only reason that vote was close...
Sticking with the entirety of my thoughts though, you would be less viable since you did unlynch Free Candy, so that leaves JC and Nobert.

I lynched FC yesterday because I wanted to get rid of an inactive if possible. At that point, he was one of three no shows, though as I said, he tends to be active. When he did show up, I hopped on the Brian train instead. Simply because he had contributed less and was the only other viable option at that point.
It wasn't set in stone that FC was going to be lynched yesterday. Only one vote separated him and Brian at the end of the day.
I don't think Nobert, JC or myself are viable lynch candidates based off of this. Not to mention, this theory makes the assumption that Brian is town. |
It's the timing of your jumping off that raised my suspicion more than the act of jumping off, tbh.
You jumped off 9 minutes before the deadline. The vote was pretty much set in stone at that point, so it just looked odd to me. Like maybe you were jumping off to look town, knowing FC was going to die either way. |
This is a good point. I retract my retraction of my suspicion of Wikey.

So, silencing is usually a mafia role - which would indicate that in all likelihood, JC is not the correct lynch. This could be a clever ploy, however. Can you vote when silenced, but not post? Do you not have to post in order to vote?

ahoda liked JC's first cryptic message, which could mean that he knew what it was and applauded JC's efforts to get around his silencing... very interesting...
