So our first mafia member is Bowser, a traditional Nintendo badguy. The othre three flips we have seen that are town are Mario, Sonic and Diddy Kong. They are all traditional Nintendo good guys.

Flavor might be important in this game.

So this stuck out to me. Yesterday, Herm said this (sorry, don't know how to do a direct quote of a closed topic):

Herm
I basically picked someone I was suspicious of and sliced him with the sword, but I never got a message that confirmed that my attack was successful so I guess we'll see.

Then today we get:

Herm @ 8/1/2017 21:00
I lost my lightsaber. :(

Feels like there is a bit of a disconnect between these two statements. Kinda seems like you were surprised to lose your lightsaber, when yesterday you indicated that you used it? And it's part of the rules that items are one time uses. Can you explain?
Badger, were you attacked last night? And did you use your smash?
As far as I am aware, I was not attacked last night. But yes, I did use my final smash.

Helios said the same thing day 1, interesting.

Probably because he wasn't attacked?

Alright, so I spent a fair amount of time looking over yesterday. There is a lot of substance in yesterday's conversation if you can bring yourself to wade through some very cringy posts. Here are two things that stuck out:

- I seriously do not understand the decision to lynch Primate. Sure he was incoherent when he was arguing with Timmah/Ahoda/Johnny, but his claim itself was pretty coherent and believable. He didn't develop a lynch train until after he had outed his role as Diddy and the fact that he had four abilities (one of which was defensive and very much lined up with his claim). 4 abilities, one of which involves night immunity, probably made him a pretty high priority lynch target for scum. I'm looking pretty closely at everyone on that train, but I think that one or two of drrrrr/Mal/317/Zersch is likely to be scum because they really sealed the deal. Mal in particular, because he was the vote that turned the tides from TIB to Primate and he had mentioned earlier on that he found part of Primate's claim to be believable.

- I find it pretty interesting that Christian tried to push for Zersch to receive his final smash both days he was alive. I'm not sure how far to read into that because Zersch has come off as pretty town like in his posts (though his voting record hasn't been great). But I definitely want to make sure that Zersch does not receive his Final Smash because If he IS scum, then it's very likely that his smash is really powerful.

Also, I'm getting very strong town vibes from Jamie and Helios at the moment.

I could potentially get behind a DS final smash. But right now my strongest town read is on Jamie.

##Smash: Jamie

So the action that was used to break Helios's protection was originally meant for Lamps?

I could see that. Lamps was pretty visible yesterday, it wouldn't surprise me if he was roleblocked.

Feeling better about him today than I was yesterday.

No Helios protection went to me if possible at all. I don't think an action to break Helios protection should necessarily be in play?

I think it would make more sense if someone roleblocked you and the damage that you received from the boomerang went to him, no? Can an action that can only be used on yourself be bussed to someone else in most games?

Why would a roleblocking cause damage to be transferred from one player to the other?

What I was trying to say was that Helios should have been immune based on his night action. So if it were just 10% damage being transfered to him, it should have been negated altogether. So I think Lamp's received 10% damage AND was role blocked, both of which ended up going to Helios, because they were bussed, and that is why he still took damage despite using his protection.

IDK it all made more sense in my head but looking at it, it's not coherent. What Lamp's said is probably correct.

I don't think that you should claim Lamps. People have been pretty quick to claim in this game.

But I DO think Jamie is town. He was one of the only people drawing attention to the fact that Christian could be scum yesterday and he's been pretty active in his scum hunting. Seemed like a reasonable question given how much discussion was going on around you/me/Helios.

Yeah I am willing to back down on the Mal lynch. Just waiting to see who is a better person to switch to.

Who do you think would be a better person Badger?

At this point, I'm not really sure which is why I haven't changed my vote.

I'm looking closely at Johnny. His argument with Timmah made him come off as scummy to me. I didn't like the way he claimed everyone should have known not to lynch Darkus based on the character claim when pretty much everyone ignored it the previous day phase. I also think he was a big part of the reason Primate got lynched yesrterday and he's kinda fading into the background today. And if we are entertaining the possibility of the Primate lynch being scum saving scum, he is one of the people that was at risk before the Primate train developed.

I also agree with people being a suspicious of Rose and 317. I agree with you that the Primate lynch was sus as fuck. It all happened very quickly and it was after a point when he had already made what I feel was a decent claim.

Brian also pinged on my radar yesterday when he was defending picking items instead of voting because it's fun to have an item. Scum gets off very easy when there aren't meaningful ynch trains to analyze.

In regards to the final smash, I don't think it's really that useful for me to have it. But it is also literally zero risk for town when I do, so I am a decent backup option.
